City of Bothell Judged Best-Tasting Water in King County
by Council 2 Staff on May 3, 2023
The City of Bothell beat five-time champion Northeast Sammamish Sewer and Water District. They will go onto the Pacific Northwest Section AWWA Spring Conference in Kennewick to be judged against water samples from throughout Oregon, Washington and Western Idaho, with the opportunity to represent the Section at the AWWA national conference in Toronto, Ontario this June. In a blind competition, eight water samples from throughout King County were evaluated on the basis of odor, taste, and after-taste.
This event is held each year to highlight the hard work our cities and districts perform to provide safe, clean, and good-tasting water to the residents of King County. The residents and commercial customers of the City of Bothell can drink proudly, knowing that the staff is providing drinking water that is reliable, safe, and now judged the best tasting in King County.
Local 3845 members Adam and Jessica took 1st and 2nd place awards for the meter challenge and will move on to the State finals in Kennewick May 3-5.
