Council 2 is committed to providing educational resources to its members and dependents. In the past 15 years, the Council has generously awarded over $900,000 in scholarships. Learn more about the various scholarships available by visiting these pages:

COUNCIL 2 SCHOLARSHIPSCouncil 2 offers 28 yearly scholarships: 5 for members and 23 for dependents. Applications are accepted from early January through March 15th each year. -
AFSCME FAMILY SCHOLARSHIPSThe annual AFSCME Family Scholarship Program provides ten $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors that will be renewed for $2,000 each year for a maximum of four years. Applications are available by September each year. -
GERALD W. McENTEE SCHOLARSHIPIn honor of former AFSCME Pres. Jerry McEntee, this one-time $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually to an AFSCME member for use towards higher education.

UNION PLUS SCHOLARSHIPSThese scholarships are presented annually to union members or members of their families who want to begin or continue their post-secondary education. Awards are one-time with yearly re-application allowed, and range from $500 to $4,000.
